Moon Treaty Sculptures
2025
dimension variable
Drawing from the 1979 Agreement Governing the Activities of States on the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies, these sculptures enlarge and reconstitute the treaty’s pages as globe-like forms. Adopted by the United Nations, it was never widely ratified by major spacefaring nations. Paper becomes metal, and legal language assumes sculptural form, registering a largely unfulfilled vision of the Moon as the “common heritage of mankind.”
