The Moon Treaty is a 1979 United Nations agreement declaring the Moon and other celestial bodies the “common heritage of mankind,” prohibiting national ownership and military use. Its limited adoption by major spacefaring nations, however, has exposed the fragility of this unrealised international covenant. In Kallat’s work, the treaty’s pages are crumpled into globe-like forms, where questions of space law, sovereignty, shared resources, and cosmic inheritance appear discarded and unresolved.
