Tetralemma (threefold postulates) is a series of drawings in which indistinct impulses, working studies, private ruminations and discarded references are summoned and memorialised as pictorial assemblies. The drawings are folded, as though a solitary game of exquisite corpse (cadavre exquis) were underway. Kallat describes the Tetralemma works as “artistic dilemmas multiplied… each fold on the paper altering its memory and orientation,” allowing unrelated images to appear alongside one another in a hybrid, exploratory pictorial language.
